With much of the State of Alaska being plagued by closures and reduced limits, King Salmon fishing at Wildman Lake Lodge is holding its own. Anglers are enjoying good King Salmon fishing on our local rivers, keeping just a few for table fare, and releasing the excess. Chrome bright Kings are being caught on flies, spinners and spoons by our guests during our first week of the 2012 King Salmon season at Wildman Lake Lodge. Here, lodge owner, pilot and guide Butch King holds a nice bright King for Katie, who is enjoying a day off from her regular duties at the lodge. This is one of several Katie caught today on her signature lure, a “Katie Pink” #6 Vibrex with a silver blade.
