Wing Shooting in Alaska for Couples

Alan and Cheryl Higham of Boulder, Colorado were guests at Wildman Lake Lodge this week with their field trial award winning German Shorthairs. “Boomer and Murray”, well trained hunting machines, lead the Highams to 20 to 30 points per outing and what they described as “The best upland bird hunting they had ever experienced.” With plenty of Willow Ptarmigan in the area and a generous daily limit of 20 ptarmigan, each hunter averaged 15 to 20 birds a day, which also included afternoon fly fishing for the abundant Silver Salmon, Rainbow Trout and colorful Arctic Char, all found in the local river. See our 5 day Cast & Blast Specials for 2012. We have already reserved a deluxe couples room with private bath, for Alan and Cheryl during next year’s Cast & Blast. Bring your own, or rent a shot gun at the lodge, where shot shells are available as well.
