Couples Week at:
Wildman Lake Lodge
on the remote Alaska Peninsula . . .

The week of July 5 to July 12, 2009

Wildman Sport Fishing Report: We enjoyed the company of six couples this week at Wildman.  They varied in experience from accomplished fly fishermen to absolute novices, who were outfitted right off of page 12 of the Orvis catalog.  But what a time we had.  The weather couldn't have been better with sunny skies and warm temperatures, all the things that will drive a King Salmon to the bottom of the river!  However, we did catch a lot of Kings, several Chum and Sockeye as well as hundreds of Char, Dollies and Rainbow trout this week.  One of the highlights was the flight to see the Pacific Walrus and the numerous Brown Bear (Kodiak Moments) which some of the guests managed to get on film.  I almost forgot to mention the 1/2  day Culinary Class " Parchment Salmon" that Chef Gary put on for the Texas Ladies.
