Wildman Lake Lodge - June 21 to 28, 2009

Fishing Report:  We started a week later this year, and the kings were waiting for us when we arrived!  The Sandy River was a little slow this week, so we fished elsewhere and there were plenty of big bright kings to keep us busy all week.  We even picked up a few early Chum which were a battle on the fly rods.  Our local artesian river at Wildman Lake Lodge was teaming with chrome bright sockeye all week as well as non-stop action for Char and Dolly Varden.  We picked up a few straggler Steelhead in Ocean River and on one fly-out day.  Our fly fishermen had several 40 to 50 trout days on Rainbow Creek using dry flies.  There is nothing like mid-June chrome salmon, hungry char and dry fly fishing for scrappy rainbow trout.
