Fall Season Cast & Blast
Wildman Lake Lodge
on the remote Alaska Peninsula . . .

The week of Sept 21 to 28, 2008

Wildman Sport Fishing Report

Silver Salmon action has been non-stop since their arrival in early August.  Our local artesian river now has silvers from the ocean mouth to the headwaters.  Our fly out days continues to wear out our guests whether using fly fishing or spin fishing equipment.  Fishing is excellent and we have YET TO HAVE OUR FIRST FROST of the season.  Rainbow Creek is producing scores of fat rainbow trout per fly fisherman and the Arctic Char fishing is nearly every cast as these colorful and aggressive are preparing for the spawn and long winter ahead.  Willow ptarmigan are arriving in flocks from the uplands where the lowering snow line has buried their berry supply. Fall colors are now vivid at the lodge.
